What this website collects
Nothing. There is no account, no login and no database behind this site. It sets no cookies of its own, stores nothing in your browser, and carries no analytics script, tracking pixel or advertising code.
The order form, and what it actually does
The box where you type a list of medicines sends nothing to this website. There is no database here and no order is recorded. When you press the button, a WhatsApp message to the shop is opened for you with the text already written out, and the shop receives nothing until you read it over and press send yourself.
One thing worth being straight about. Opening that message works by handing your list to a WhatsApp web address, so the text you typed reaches WhatsApp's own servers at the moment the button is pressed, before you have sent anything to the shop. On a phone that usually goes straight into the WhatsApp app; on a computer it goes through WhatsApp's website first. It also means the list can appear in your browser history, which is worth knowing if you share the device. If you would rather none of that happened, telephone the shop instead on +91 00000 00000.
The prescription photograph is different, and it genuinely does stay on your device. Picking a photo shows you a small preview so you can check you chose the right one. That preview is produced inside your own browser and the image is never uploaded to this website. On a phone, pressing the button hands the picture to your phone’s own share sheet, and you choose WhatsApp and the recipient there yourself. On a computer the picture is not passed across at all, so you attach it inside WhatsApp with the paperclip, exactly as in any other chat. Your typed list is also copied to your clipboard, so that you can paste it if the share sheet keeps the photograph but drops the text.
Once you press send in WhatsApp, the message goes to the shop and is handled by WhatsApp under Meta's own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
The one request the page makes elsewhere
The typefaces used here, Newsreader and Karla, are stored in this site's own folder and served from this address. They used to be fetched from Google Fonts on every visit, which quietly announced every reader to Google before they had read a word; that was changed on 30 August 2026 and no font provider is contacted now.
Two links on the site go elsewhere when you choose to click them. "Get directions" opens Google Maps, and the WhatsApp links open WhatsApp. Both are then covered by Google's and Meta's own privacy policies rather than this one.
Prescriptions
- Prescription-only medicines are dispensed against a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner, and you will be asked to show it.
- A photograph is enough to check stock and price in advance. The prescription itself still needs to be presented when the medicine is handed over.
- The shop can decline to dispense where a prescription is unclear, out of date, or where dispensing would not be appropriate.
- Prices are confirmed by phone before anything is set aside or sent.
Home delivery
Delivery is free to nearby addresses and is done by the shop's own people. There is no online payment on this website and none will ever be asked for here. You pay at the counter, or you pay the person who brings the medicines.
Someone needs to be at the address to receive the delivery and, where a prescription medicine is involved, to show the prescription.
Returns
Medicine that has left the shop cannot be taken back and resold. That is normal pharmacy practice and it exists to protect the next customer, not to be awkward. If the shop has made a mistake, or something is damaged or wrongly supplied, bring it back with the bill and it will be put right.
The doctor's chamber
Dr. A. Roy sees patients at the shop on weekday evenings, and practises independently. The consultation, any advice given, any prescription written and any fee charged are a matter between the patient and Dr. Roy, and the pharmacy is not a party to it.
Larkspur does not decide who Dr. Roy sees, and does not hold any clinical records.
What this website is not
Nothing here is medical advice, and nothing here should be used to decide what to take or what to stop taking. A website cannot examine anyone. Ask the pharmacist at the counter, ask the doctor, or ask whoever prescribed the medicine.
In an emergency, go to a hospital rather than waiting for the shop to open.
Accuracy
The address, the founding year, the phone number and the opening hours here come from the shop's own signboard and from the shop itself. Stock changes daily, so nothing on this page should be read as a promise that a particular medicine is on the shelf right now. Call and ask.
Who runs this site
This website belongs to Larkspur Chemists, 3 Mulberry Street, Kolkata, trading since 1972. It was built for the shop at no charge. Anything about the site itself can go to the shop on +91 00000 00000.
Governing law
Indian law applies, and the courts at Kolkata have jurisdiction.
A note on this page
This is written in plain English so it can actually be read. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer. If the shop ever starts taking orders or payments through the website itself rather than through WhatsApp, this page needs rewriting properly and the pharmacy rules around selling medicines online need looking at first.
