Questions people ask at the counter
Short, honest answers about the shop on Tamarind Lane, Kolkata. Where something is not decided yet, it says so.
Is the honey dry-fruit cake sugar-free?
No. It is sweetened with honey instead of sugar, and honey is itself a sugar. India's food-claims rules do not allow a honey-sweetened food to be called "sugar-free" or "no added sugar", so Copperpot does not call it that. It is a dry-fruit cake with honey doing the sweetening.
Is everything pure veg?
Yes. The shop is pure veg, including the cakes made to order.
Do you make everything yourselves?
The jars and boxes under the Copperpot label, the jamun chips and the cakes to order are the shop's own. The cookies, crackers, chips and drinks on the snacks shelf are chosen from other makers.
Do you deliver?
Nearby, arranged when you order. Ask on the phone or on WhatsApp and say where you are.
Can I order a cake for a date?
Yes. Say the occasion, the size and the idea on WhatsApp or at the counter. The notice needed depends on the design, so ask early.
Do you take bulk orders?
Yes, after a conversation about quantity and dates. Offices, festivals and family functions are the usual reasons. Minimums and lead times are agreed with you.
Are prices on the website?
No. Prices are given at the counter or on the phone, because they change with the season and the order.
When are you open?
Every day, 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 9 pm.
Where exactly is the shop?
14 Tamarind Lane, Kolkata, opposite the lake and the lake, next door to Argent Lane Gifting. Directions are on the visit page.
Is this the shop's official website?
Not yet. This is a concept site built for the owner to review. Nothing here is bookable and no orders are taken through the site itself; the phone and WhatsApp numbers are real.
